Supervises workers engaged in layout and machine operating to fabricate structural, wire, or sheet metal products, applying knowledge of layout, product design, machine functions, capacities, and output potential: Requisitions material required to meet production goals. Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications. Trains new workers. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR (any industry) Master Title. May be designated by department or operation as Lay-Out Supervisor (any industry); Machine-Operations Supervisor (any industry); Metal-Spinning Supervisor (any industry); Punch-Press Supervisor (any industry); Roll-Forming Supervisor (any industry); or product produced as Supervisor, Metal Furniture Fabrication (furniture).
