Manufacturing Support Jobs description
The most known manufacturing support positions are those of a manufacturing technician, manufacturing assistant, manufacturing coordinator, administrative assistant, manufacturing specialist, and manufacturing support assistant. Typical duties of most support positions include preparing administrative or production reports, coordinating with people from other departments, receiving telephone calls, checking emails, checking for availability of meeting rooms for conferences or training sessions, maintaining a professional demeanor, assisting the engineer/ production supervisor, keeping track of inventory and manufacturing components required in the plant and performing several other tasks as required. A manufacturing support professional typically reports to a manufacturing supervisor.A manufacturing support professional should have a high school diploma or an associate\'s degree in a relevant area. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience providing support at a manufacturing setting may be helpful. Strong physical ability and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
