Job Details:
This position starts at $14.40/hr. with a shift increase of .35 for second and .50 for third shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Packout / Bagger Operator will be responsible for ensuring all related pack out equipment is performing to production standards (must be trained in LOTO before being trained or performing job task in position) and for understanding Product Quality of the product being produced.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED.
Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment.
Stops machine to make required adjustments following lockout-tagout policy.
Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
Keeps department clean and neat.
Notifies Supervisor and QC of contamination.
Must be able to perform the Packout / Bagger Operators Training Checklist (PR26.1) job tasks by the end of the 10-working day trial period.
Equipment includes:
Automated Bagger / Film
Loading Bags / Film Calibrating machines through basic equipment adjustments
Counter Stacker (where applicable).
Program Count Parts Change (Inner & Outer Trays) Calibrating machines through basic equipment adjustments
Product Conveyors
Calibrating machines through basic equipment adjustments
Metal Detector Checks
Other Duties/Quality Checks/Plant View
Bag Seals / Film Package Counts Packaging Lot Numbers.
Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customers written specifications.
Must adhere to all safety policies and operate equipment in a safe manner.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting any wear and tear on equipment.
Responsible for controlling the machine speed by anticipating and responding to changes in speed of product flow.
Responsible for assisting Lead in stocking line and monitoring the box machine (box machine where applicable).
Responsible for ensuring product is sealed properly and all seals are tight.
Responsible for ensuring printer is working properly and the correct date is being applied.
Must be able to perform product changeovers as needed.
Abide by all company policies / procedures, written or verbal.
Work as a team member toward task accomplishments.
Perform any other tasks assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires flexibility of wrists and hands.
Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required.
Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to use a calculator for addition, subtraction and averaging to document production information Must be able to write production recordings in the Operator’s Log completely and accurately and complete any production documentation.
Must be able to read the Operator’s Log, Operator’s SOP, and job-related SOP’s and documentation.
Must be able to follow instructions and communicate with others as well as problem solving abilities and basic mechanical knowledge.
Must be able to review, understand and follow supervisor instructions.
Applicant must have 3 months of continuous machine operator experience preferred.
