Job Details:
Summary:
Responsible for the direction and operation of the facility including controlling, directing & coordination of the Batching process.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direction and operation of the facility including controlling, directing & coordination of the Batching process.
Emphasis on safety, quality, HACCP, yields, productivity & continuous improvement programs.
Train employees to work safely, perform safety inspections, perform safety contacts and conduct employee safety meetings.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Responsible for setting goals and meeting expectations.
Maintain positive working relationship with USDA and assure all regulations and quality standards are achieved.
Work with QA department to correlate their sample results with operator’s performance.
Responsible for correction of QA deficiencies.
Complete necessary production reporting, time sheets, transfer downtime and delay time reporting.
Work with production scheduling to fill all orders, properly control meat flow, maintain proper inventory, and maximize efficiency.
Deliver cost savings goals and improve processes.
All other duties as assigned.
Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.
ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000.
Education/Work Experience/Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
Ability to lift 50 pounds High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates and/or Bachelor Degree a plus.
Three years of manufacturing experience required.
Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work independently, and must be results oriented.
Good problem-solving techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
