Title: Palletizer 2nd shift – Full Time – Sanford, NC 27332

We are offering a $1000 sign-on bonus for all new hires. We have open positions for second shift. We create quality products in a safe environment for our team members. We offer great benefits and competitive pay. This facility operates six days a week and produces Taco Shells and Tortillas.

Position Description:

This position ensures that all of Tyson product is palletized in a correct manner and properly packaged with the appropriate specifications using labelers /guns for destination purposes. This position will also be responsible for stocking the production lines. This position is responsible for palletizing in either the Flour or Corn department. This position is responsible for tasks such as operating a pallet jack (electric and manual) in an industrial setting, taking boxes off of a conveyor and placing boxes on pallets. This position also requires the use of a handheld scanner. This position requires the ability to operate an electric pallet jack. This position is required to follow all Tyson safety rules. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet/ and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to airborne particles (primarily flour dust), and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. If the applicant is not contacted in the month that they applied, they will need to reapply again in the next month to be considered.

Requirements

Verifies dates, codes and adds labels to packages

Palletizes product in a correct manner

Inspects and uses good wooden pallets per Tyson Specifications

Operates electric pallet jack and shrink wrap machine

Make accurate case counts of the product

Delivers packages to the cooler station/department

Team up with other team members to physically move product form one station to another

Maintains all copies of HU sheets and delivers reports at the end of the shift to supervisor

Must be able to use the scanning gun

Must be able to work overtime and weekends

6-month palletizer experience listed on the application (can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

Must have 6-month work experience in the last 12 months, can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

Must be available to work overtime and weekends. Applicants from the following counties will be considered Lee, Chatham, Harnett and Cumberland County in NC.
