SUMMARY:
Responsible for management of multiple third-party manufacturing facilities. This individual need to have a general management mindset and goes above and beyond to get the job done. Responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of the co-manufacturing supply base including the management of new product launches sourcing exiting co-mans suppliers creating contracts for all new existing co-manufacturers resolving capacity constraint areas delivering year over year cost saving goals and establishing KPI metrics at critical co-manufacturers. Strong analytics and project management skills are a must in this role which requires excellent communication and leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Third party contract development negotiation and execution
knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards with adherence to USDA and FDA guidelines, third party performance, and P&L management
understand all aspects of contract manufacturers production results and financials
collaborate with production schedulers to provide accurate supply and capacity outlook while taking crewing of production line capabilities into consideration
establish Key Performance Indicators to track third party performance sourcing and commercializing innovation products at third party manufacturing facilities
ability to influence decision and operate in a matrix environment
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5 years work experience 2 plus years in contract manufacturing or related field required.
Communication Skills: Requires both strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office; SAP preferred
Special Skills: CPG experience with significant cross functional project management ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment communicate at a high level across function and must be a quick study proven ability to manage change ability to work in a matrix environment and strong decision maker.
Supervisory Skills: Demonstrates leadership in one or more of the following areas: Procurement supply chain operations engineering finance or R D.
Travel: 25 of the time
