Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes to ensure supplier’s capability improvement in production and if required during the product development phase.
Ability to evaluate supplier’s processes maturity and company robustness and, when necessary, ability to lead all the improvement actions at suppliers premises to ensure that the product will be supplied at the appropriate quality level and on time
Engage Sourcing Supplier development team to ensure as an outcome of his activity a process robustness, capability, capacity fixing
Support Sourcing Supplier development team in assessment, as required, and ensure recovery plans implementation
Engage Supplier Quality and Engineering teams as needed
Solve issues and develop solutions to ensure new and innovative approaches
Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
Works with cross functional teams
Lead all the improvement actions at suppliers premises to ensure that the product will be supplied at the appropriate quality level and on time
Establish a relationship with the GE Aviation team to ensure the right level of networking to enable effective communication and issues resolution
Regularly advises management in the function and / or in the business
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college
Strong experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and / or related field
English fluent
EU work permit
Frequent business trips, specially in North America
