Commercial Operations is currently seeking a Commercial Operator, to join our Commercial Operations Fuel Oil Team. This team is responsible for managing the physical delivery of Shell’s domestic and international movements of Fuel Oil. The team of commercial operators work within the Fuel Oil North America Trading Team, to optimize overall profitability through its commercial acumen and expertise in blending, scheduling and refinery operations. In delivering its value to the Shell organization, the team engages with the many internal and external customers in the fuel oil supply chain.
The team is responsible for managing the logistics (truck, rail, pipeline, marine, bunkers and terminals) of all fuel oil movements. The Commercial Operator is expected to “own the molecule” and understand the operations and commercial implications of their desk.
Shell seeks to attract a Commercial Operator with strong technical, analytical, and commercial skills. Demonstrated teamwork, resilience and ability to collaborate well with other team members, groups and businesses is key. This is a complex and dynamic part of the trading business and, as such, this is a high profile and demanding role suitable for a highly motivated candidate.

Requirements:
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Engineering; MBA preferred.
Minimum three (3 ) years of work experience within a large Oil and Gas, Midstream or Trading Organization.
Experience leading commercial deals, cost savings initiatives or sourcing initiatives.
Advanced Excel. (Macros/Solver/Database Management)
Knowledge of Endur, Qlikview and Salesforce.com a plus.
Possess knowledge in fuel oil measurement, quality specifications, HSSE and fuel oil operations.
Strong technical, numeracy, analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills to recognize and solve problems quickly.
Proven ability to operate and effectively communicate under extreme pressure to deliver under tight deadlines and make quick decisions.
Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong drive for bottom line results to achieve top performance in the industry.
Team player and high inter-personal skills capable of developing and maintaining strong internal, external and virtual relationships
Perform the daily task of quantifying and analyzing discrepancies between the plan, schedules and actual performance. Analyze and communicate results to the responsible parties to take necessary corrective actions. Escalate issues when need be.
Lead or support the month end process for reporting deal volumes and inventories in ETRM system.
Provide backup coverage for other schedulers.
