SummaryThe Director of Network Optimization will lead the enterprise level initiative to develop capacity expansion and capability strategies improve plant line utilization eliminate non-value-added network redundancy and create competitive advantage for the Supply Chain such as incorporating emerging technologies. This role will work closely with Operations Engineering, Business Units Sales, Finance, R&D, and Supply Chain to identify define evaluate and execute specific manufacturing network initiatives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate and direct cross functional teams in an effort to establish and execute network optimization strategies to include recommending capacity options for growth
Present strategies for senior leadership approval
Build relationships with key internal customers to create and execute strategies to drive business goals
Align with Engineering and Finance to create payback scenarios along with capital investment requests
Work closely with Operations Engineering and Planning on capacity requirements through the monthly S&OP meetings and the Strategic Planning process.
Perform all front-end planning required to identify and support effective project execution and deliverables
Maintain cross-functional alignment on key strategic elements accountabilities and decision rights
Coordinate financial analyses of investments and benefits
Document project scope key milestones deliverables timeline assumptions and success criteria
Create capability and capacity solutions and unlock levers for growth in key categories and a process for project management of approved initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
12 plus years’ experience with 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably food industry experience. Operations management and P&L responsibility helpful. Experience in leading an organization and working across multiple locations. Working knowledge of the Prepared Facilities and manufacturing processes is desired. Experience in Demand Supply Capacity Planning; Engineering; and JDA is preferred.
Standard computer skills with emphasis on presentation software and MS Excel
Excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills
Responsible for supervision 3-5 Senior Manager Level team members
Variable but could be heavy at times depending on the work scope
Demonstrated ability to execute in a matrix organization
Strong influence and team building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work at the strategic level
Ability to build and maintain broad cross-functional alignment
Ability to prepare business case financials and documentation for CIR preparation
