ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate multi-point or gun welder per blueprint specifications
Monitor control system on operating parameters, weld pressure, weld schedule, and fault detection
Keep accurate records of jobs performed
Inspect produced parts for quality and quantity
Transport stock to and from work area
Perform preventative maintenance as needed
Requisition weld tips and other supplies
Participates in standard job rotations. Perform job rotation with team members to insure proper standardized work and ergonomic safety
Perform all job duties according to safety policies and procedures
Performs all 5S housekeeping tasks in appropriate areas
Participates as a member of the Fabrication Team
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives
Required Skills
Problem Solving:
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions.
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects under minimal supervision and meet required deadlines.
Required Experience
Technical Experience
: Must be able to work in a team environment; Must have knowledge of how to use measuring instruments. Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
Industry Experience
: Must have a minimum of one year Welder Operator experience. May be required to receive additional education & attend seminars for related training. Experience in a manufacturing environment required. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, principles, and tools preferred.
