We are seeking a Maintenance and Engineering Manager for our Shaped Charge Manufacturing Facility (SCMF) located in Rosharon, TX. The SCMF Maintenance and Engineering Manager will be responsible for three main pillars supporting the Shaped Charge Manufacturing Facility (SCMF):
Maintenance:
a. Ensures that the company facilities, machine tools and equipment are maintained in good operating condition.
b. Improves maintenance related NPTr, boost asset efficiency, increase equipment usage and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Engineering:
a. Responsible for improving efficiency and increase equipment utilization within the facility.
b. Responsible for improving reliability of the equipment used within the facility.
Inventory:
a. Responsible for accurate planning and delivery of resources (Products and M&S) to production and maintenance teams in the facility.
b. Responsible for facility’s specific inventory plan and procurement activities to optimize cost and risk of direct materials.
Responsibilities
Review, plan and execute a Maintenance Program.
Plan to replace aging and process-incapable machines or retrofit them.
Arrange with outside vendors for periodic servicing contracts.
Develop annual operating plans and budgets.
Manage the technicians performing maintenance services. Assist in troubleshooting problems with equipment.
Track work orders, tools, and schedules as per specifications.
Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Lead failure Investigations and execute engineering actions to prevent failures.
Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects pertaining to rework and reuse of parts, service level kits and equipment design improvements.
Monitor the quality and completeness of data capture by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to drive cost and reliability analysis.
Develop a continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans in the facility to improve equipment utilization, reliability, and cost.
Own, drive, & manage the inventory supply and demand process for the facility in collaboration with the production, maintenance, and automation teams.
Define Procurement strategies for direct materials that ensure continuously decreasing product & service cost, improving service delivery & reduced supply risk; implement through the center’s Sourcing team.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
5 years’ experience in engineering or maintenance in a manufacturing environment
3 years of managerial experience
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
