SUMMARY:

The Manager Cost Optimization will be responsible for identifying and executing cost optimization opportunities in Prepared Foods with primary focus on Foodservice BU categories. Through close collaboration with R&D, Plant Locations, Supply Chain and Finance, this role will identify new savings pursuits and liaise with business teams to obtain alignment and drive execution.

Responsibilities include:

Managing Prepared Foodservice cost savings intake approach and aligning on priorities with Category Management partners

Utilize broad knowledge of products and processes to improve direct lean costs

Facilitate cost savings ideation sessions to identify new savings initiatives

Work with cross functional teams to develop the business case and financial justification for cost savings project opportunities

Lead monthly BU cost savings tracking sessions to ensure planned savings are actualized

Support pipeline development of Foodservice cost savings projects that will deliver 3 year SP and AOP targets

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Finance.

Experience: 3-5 years working experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, continuous improvement, or related field required. Experience in Food or CPG industry is a plus.

Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Excel, NPD and PowerPoint

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to effectively engage people at all levels of the organization.

Special Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate and summarize process insights and complex data into actionable recommendations. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
