The Production Control Lead coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials through the production process enabling the organization to achieve on-time delivery and productivity goals.

The duties may include the following but is not all-inclusive: Develop, distribute, and manage production schedules and work orders to departments. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules. Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering. Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information. Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, or purchase, maintenance, or repair orders. Work closely with Value Stream Manager/Leadpersons to regulate flow of work to ensure customer dates are supported. Participate in HPT's as required
The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following: -- 3 5 years experience in a similar manufacturing/fabrication environment. -- Prior scheduling experience highly preferred -- Working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods. -- Strong communication and listening skills. Effective communicating 1:1 and in groups -- Practical knowledge of lean and six sigma tools and strategies -- Effectively supports change and a continuous improvement culture -- Ability to lead in a manner that supports and advocates for a strong safety culture.
