My client, a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company which recently established a new manufacturing facility in Shannon, Co. Clare, is in need of a Production Planner to join their growing organization.
This is an innovative company using cutting edge technologies and a fantastic opportunity for a Production Planner who is looking to take their career to the next level.
The successful candidate will have a relevant third level qualification with minimum 5 years experience in a similar role of Production Planning in a production facility. Medical Device or Pharma experience is desired but not essential
A little about the role
You will develop and have ownership over operational plans and continuously improve the performance of the planning metrics to ensure the production of quality product in a timely, safe, efficient and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for all supply planning and production scheduling within the Supply Chain Team
Responsible for inventory replenishment based on production schedules, current inventory, customer orders and forecasts.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and giving final approval of the master schedule of products through the assembly process
Liaise with various departments as needed to reschedule production to support business
Support business execution of new programs and initiatives
Monitor KPI's, analyse costs and coordinate cross function teams to increase the effectiveness of the Supply Chain
Develop metrics to assess and improve forecast accuracy
Development and implementation of department standards, practices, procedures and policies
Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events.
Job Specifications:
Degree Qualified with additional qualifications in Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management such as the APICS or CPIM certifications.
5 years experience in Demand planning. Preferably medical device or pharma but not essential.
Strong understanding and experience in Forecasting and MRP
Experience and understanding of GMP compliance and regulations
Previous experience with ERP systems essential
Ability to multi-task, self motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of safe working practices and awareness.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
