Field Service Manager (Quincy, MA)rnThe Field Service Manager is responsible for leveraging knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to perform the following duties:rnrn•tManage and lead engineers in commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing railcar vehicles;rn•tProvide support and guidance to service staff to determine root cause of malfunctions on the train with blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications;rn•tEstablish and implement policies, procedures, and programs to improve efficiency in field operations such as Field modification execution progress, warranty process;rn•tEnsure Service Engineer team accomplishes the established KPIs for the Company’s railcar vehicle projects, with a focus on train delivery and warranty matters;rn•tMonitor the completion of field modifications and retrofits for the railcar vehicles;rn•tManage the completion of the technical documentation which outlines Routine Test Procedures, Work Orders, and Field Modification Implementation;rn•tManage and monitor the inventory of the railcar vehicle parts to ensure that the calibration of tools and parts revisions are up to date and readily available;rn•tManage the status of NCR (non-conforming reports) created in field/ logistic record of parts/ inventory in SAP system.rnrnMinimum requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field of study, plus two (2) years of manufacturing engineering experience within the transit vehicle rail industry. Experience must include, which may be gained concurrently:rnrn•t2 years of experience troubleshooting field service engineering issues within the rail industry;rn•t2 years of field service management and/or project management experience;rn•t2 years of experience preparing technical documents, including Operation reports, Failure reports, and field instruction documents;rn•t2 years of experience troubleshooting using drawings, schematics, and wire diagrams;rn•t2 years of experience using AutoCAD and Solidworks;rn•t2 years of experience utilizing MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio;rn•tROW (Right Of Way) certificate is required.rnrnJob site: 108 Myrtle Street, 3rd Floor, Quincy, MA 02171. 40 hours per week, 9:00am to 6:00pm.
