Aftermarket Quality Engineer
We have a great opportunity for an Aftermarket Quality Engineer to join our busy team in Cheltenham.
In this role you will partner with the existing Aftermarket Quality Team members and the Value Stream leadership team to maintain compliance, reduce losses, and improve audit readiness.
In addition, you would proactively support the coordination of Quality Assurance and Compliance activities, providing guidance and timely support to the Aftermarket Values Stream personnel, ensuring root cause analysis, containment and effective corrective actions are executed.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing Regulatory and customer requirements, incorporating into the QMS, as necessary.
Engage, support and lead external audits by our Customers and Regulators.
Coordinate timely responses to customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Support creation, processing, approval, verification and closure of Corrective Actions
Support the timely updates of our business management IT systems to ensure the appropriate compliance safeguards are in place for inventory assignment and Release requirements
Conduct, direct and produce independent investigations into Human Factors, Quality Alerts, Corrective Actions, Notice of Escape, and Red Card, as required
Represent the Quality function at the Value Stream Daily Management Meetings
Support development and maintenance of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS),
Develop and Deliver awareness and training sessions
Minimum Requirements
Suitable level of Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing or similar sector
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to energise teams and create an engaging work environment, promoting inclusiveness.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient IT skills such as Microsoft Office applications
Desired Characteristics
Detailed working knowledge and/or experience of Aviation Regulations and Standards from bodies including CAA, EASA, FAA and CAAC
Working knowledge of AS9110
Understanding and/or application of requirements for Certified release of product
Understanding/application of structured problem solving and Root Cause Analysis techniques
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills
Experience of Oracle, Proficy and TipQA IT systems
