Job Description

This position is currently paying up to $17.50 per hour with many benefits that include vacation, medical insurance, educational assistance, 401k plans, Tyson Stock Purchase Plans, nine (9) paid holidays and $2,500 retention bonus.
Description
This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Policies and procedures.
Task
The Line Operator is primarily responsible to attend automated packing equipment. The Line Operator shares the responsibility for the equipment, product and team members in the Packout area, and will be cross-trained in all positions. The Line Operator must be able to set-up the equipment, change packaging supplies, and adjust the equipment throughout the shift, as well as assist in manual packing & palletizing as needed. The Line Operator functions as an assistant to the Packout Lead, and reports all issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
Requirements
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to bend, twist, stand and walk. Willing and able to work weekends and overtime. Ability to work in heat, hot, humid, dry and cold conditions. Ability to work from floor level to overhead level. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Willingness to be lock out/tag out certified. Willingness to get forklift trained and certified.
