Shifts: Thurs & Fri – 7AM – 3:30PM Sat & Sun – 6AM – 6:30PM

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A LAB SUPERVISOR: (RESUME REQUIRED)
Lead the operation of the Plant Analytical Laboratory, comprised of the following functions:
o Raw material, in process, finished product testing, and stability testing
o Methods and procedures are appropriately followed
o CAPA activities are followed through to completion
Responsible for the overall results for a single shift of laboratory operation
Drive a culture of engagement through the team and department.
Lead efforts required to deliver quality and compliance performance for the shift. Initiate, manage, and make decisions which impact product quality.
Manage budget accountability for Headcount, Overtime, and direct expenses for a shift and/or line. Direct Financial accountability up to $ 2MM USD.
Drive lab efficiencies and MSP (Master Schedule Performance) performance; understand drivers and developing and executing plans around improvement of lab performance and quality metrics.
Directly supervises team and participates in staffing activities.
Develop lab personnel by securing appropriate training, providing mentoring and assigning progressively challenging stretch responsibilities within the scope of the team and department accountabilities.
Preparation and active participation in internal and external EHS and GMP audits and incident/accident investigation and reporting; coupled with timely implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Drive timely completion of quality records related to out of specification conditions and extraneous matter as applicable; Responsible for analyzing data, performing and writing formal investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions, where appropriate.
Coach and direct individuals in delivering EHS performance for themselves, their team and department.
Provide direction, leadership and technical expertise to Analytical and Incoming Materials Laboratory personnel and to the plant.
Actively plan and organize the day to day laboratory operations and schedules.
Anticipate and drive proper alignment and prioritization between the lab and production teams.
Execution of on time performance reviews for direct reports
Ensure compliance with all HR practices, policies and procedures.
Understand and effectively use the rewards and recognition programs.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in science, food technology, chemistry or High school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in a laboratory setting
Demonstrated leadership skills
Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing support laboratory
Proven plant financial understanding
Experience working with and implementing Continuous Improvement tools & methodologies.
Preferred
Previous experience working in a laboratory in a regulated manufacturing work environment with preference being food,
pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, etc.
Working knowledge of Green Belt/Lean Six Sigma Tools
Knowledge of FDA-21 CFR and other regulatory requirements for Infant Formula
