At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.
After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.
Learn more about L&P Aerospace:Aerospace (****POSITION SUMMARY: This position will support production welding processes and provide input on manufacturing release reviews.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement welding processes including MIG/TIG, Orbital and Braze.
Review design standards provide input to designs and part process standards.
Provide input for manufacturing release reviews, manufacturing process options and evaluate manufacturing process.
Help create, maintain, and approve work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, process control, and tooling definition/requirements.
Coordinate welding best practices and implement floor process optimization and control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs / escapes and reduce overall production costs.
Significant interaction with production, quality and materials management teams.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with progressive welding certifications.
Associates degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of Specifications for GE, Rolls-Royce, and Boeing
Solid works
Epicor
Orbital (Auto) welding knowledge
Experience within the Aerospace manufacturing industry preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to read/interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE PREFERRED:
Progressive welding certifications
