Project Analyst 8588 Manufacturing amp Production

Profile

This role is a support role working in conjunction w/ an IPS Program Mgr & is primarily an Operations facing role requiring interaction w/ & a close working relationship w/ various manufacturing department.
The individual filling this role will be involved in:
Working closely to provide support to the IPS Program Mgr(s) responsible for the IPS development programs to which they are assigned.
Working closely with various operations groups to drive & provide oversight to operations activities in preparation and during fulfillment of builds in support of development programs.
Driving materials for upcoming builds, working with assigned Material Product Managers to track material status and provide status reports to IPS Program Managers & IPS Engineers.
Interfacing with other operations team members as required to achieve results in support of the hardware builds, coordinating Build Request Form (BRF) deliveries to Operations to support builds.
Coordinating with IPS Program Manager / IPS Engineering release of bills-of-materials to drive early material orders and to prepare for hardware builds, monitoring production progress and being key contact for issues that may arise.
Providing operations updates to the IPS Program Manager and other relevant individuals, addressing issues and defining closure activities, addressing hardware related issues raised by other groups as directed by the responsible IPS Program Manager.
Managing defined activities to address issues including involving others as appropriate, coordinating delivery of hardware to IPS Engineering teams and other groups as appropriate, coordinating various other program activities in support of the IPS Program Manager.
Assigned programs and activities may require providing support to IPS efforts outside of San Diego, but no travel will be involved as all activities will be related to San Diego production activities. However, conference calls during off hours may be required to assist in coordinating some of the activities.


Other activities where the person fulfilling this role may participate may include:

Supporting activities related to generating project schedules and other project documentation, working w/ IPS Engineering teams in support of their needs as directed by the IPS Program Mgr or the IPS PM department management, working w/ Chipset Program Analysts on various hardware ordering, tracking, and delivery activities and issues, working with the Chipset Program Manager on hardware related matters as directed by the IPS Program Manager.

Providing support to other IPS activities and programs outside the assigned programs and/or mainstream IPS Program Management department support, developing and tracking labor resource for given programs or IPS in general as directed by the IPS PM department management.

Tracking of materials and products for other areas of IPS as directed by IPS PM department management, coordinating & tracking shipments, deliveries of materials and products.


Required: Bachelor's degree Preferred: Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Electronics & Satellites Eng and/or Mechanical Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering Pluses: Master's, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Electronics & Satellites Eng. Engineering and experience in cellular technology development and manufacturing.
