This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for operating food manufacturing machinery while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to set up and tear down machinery at beginning and end of production. Operate industrial blenders, grinders, stuffing machines, conveyors, slicers, packaging machine. Observes Tyson USDA safety and sanitation rules, utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, operates pallet jack, Other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching is required. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Minimal math and computer skills. Must be able to record and write lot numbers on required paperwork and/or electronic system. Must be able to do repetitive work 8 to 10 hours a day. Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Work in cold and damp environment and be certified to operate pallet jack/ forklift.
