Senior Engineer of Engineering Pre-Production Department Job

Profile

• Establish a year-long term preventative maintenance plans for manufacturing equipment, including automated raw material feeding systems, injection molding systems, and molding cooling systems;
• Devise proper predetermined values of machines and processes to meet material and design requirements and customers’ requirements;
• Design, develop, implement, and manage automated injection molding processes in order to produce high quality automobile molding parts and metallic molding products;
• Analyze the root cause of quality issues in molding parts and establish a process for corrective action;
• Analyze the root cause of down times and establish action plans to solve the mechanical down times;
• Troubleshoot issues in machinery and ancillary equipment and molding processes;
• Measure pressure, temperature, cooling time, and speed for proper operation of injection molding systems;
• Participate in process risk assessment;
• Devise and implement initiatives to improve the efficiency of the molding processes and establish measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products;
• Supervise the transfer of testing and mold tooling applications to manufacturing according to SL group's internally-developed continuous improvement system;
• Execute quality maintenance tests and assemble workability tests;
• Coordinate with Injection Engineers and Production Managers to analyze engineering and materials specifications and requirements and process standards and improve injection molding processes;
• Analyze and manage quality scale value (weight and product's bending) to keep high quality of products;
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in order to maintain the quality and precision of our automated injection molding machinery and systems;
• Educate and train current technicians and operators about plastic injection molding processes and molding equipment; and
• Report the progress of the ongoing process projects to Injection Engineering Manager on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Job Requirements:
- Over sixteen (16) years of experience in the field of production and manufacturing equipment maintenance;
- Knowledge in injection molding processes and injection molding systems; and
- Skills in maintenance of injection molding systems and production machinery.
