Position SummaryWe are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery to manufacture Parker parts safely and accurately. CNC Operators are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. CNC Machinists need to have an above-average aptitude for mathematics, a keen eye for detail, great mechanical aptitude, excellent computer skills, and a keen interest in production and processing.
Aspects of Your Work
Proficiently operate Star Machines by loading and unloading parts in the machine.
Perform machine adjustments to achieve the correct dimensions, finishes, and quality.
Complete program changes to the load/unload mechanism of the machine
Modify and edit programming on the machine as needed.
Distinguish when preset tools are required prior to inserting into tool holder.
Perform any necessary machine adjustments or repairs in a safe manner.
Identify when tooling needs replaced and change tooling effectively.
Understand and follow work instructions, set-up sheets, routers, and camlink to properly set-up machines per customer requirements.
Effectively gauge and measure parts produced
5S work area on a daily basis.
Assist other departments with projects as needed.
Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma is required.
Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology is preferred
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling and precision measurement tools
Knowledge of g-code programming is preferred.
Understand and complies with ISO procedures
Ability to read routers and blueprint drawings
Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming
Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
