JOB DESCRIPTION
The manufacturing engineer is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering services to support efficient manufacturing processes. This position develops and implements ideal cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, organizes manufacturing introduction for new or reworked products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supporting a wide variety of processing applications such as machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treating, bonding, molding, etc.
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Develop machining strategies for and program CNC machines, mills, and lathes.
Process deviations as necessary to assist engineering and quality control.
Conducting feasibility study to estimate product cost and analyze capital equipment, capacity, and capability requirements.
Providing and improving regulated technical documents such as prints, procedures, bill of materials and routers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a commensurate level of experience with related products.
Experience with industrial automation hard and software as well as communication protocols and standards
B.S. Engineering or similar field
Extensive familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, SketchUp, etc)
Experience with manufacturing tools and processes
