Job Overview
This is an exciting position to join a successful and rapidly growing business in the midlands area. As maintenance fitter you would be working as part of a team of fitters working a mixture of day and evening shifts and this is a permanent role paying a competitive rate.
The role includes plant maintenance, preventative maintenance, and project work. Working on a variety of industrial equipment and plant.
A good working knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical automation is essential. Electrical experience would be an advantage but not essential. Regular overtime is available.
Role and Responsibilities;
Trade Qualified Fitter with excellent mechanical knowledge.
Minimum of three years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good knowledge of Maintenance process and activities gained within a plant environment.
Must have strong communication skills and have a proven record of working in a team environment
Must be a self-starter, be goal focused and work on your own initiative
Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and attention to detail
Previous experience working within a production environment.
Demonstrable knowledge of safe working practices
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology.
Excellent trouble shooting skills.
Ability to work on own initiative or a part of a team.
