Responsibilities:
Provide support for
Manufacturing
Operations on 2nd Shift to enable operating areas to meet or exceed targets for schedule accomplishment, operating expense, throughput, quality, associate relations, continuous improvement and safety and environmental. Develop, maintain and improve a culture of continuous improvement that is rooted in safety and business performance. Promote accountability through responsibility and involvement. Build on an operating style of open communication respect, consistency, honesty and integrity.
Schedule accomplishment
- Manage the flow of product by assigning qualified associates to assets to meet scheduling requirements that are driven by customer's demand of 100% on time delivery. Utilize their expertise to advise the Management team, analyst, schedulers and maintenance supervisors on status of assets.
Operating Expense
- Develop and implement tactics to reduce operating expense to meet business plan goals. Monitor selected measures to manage labor hours, supplies and external contractors.
Quality
- Lead root cause problem solving process to implement corrective actions that address customer complaints and concerns. Adhere to the plants documented quality systems to retain QS/ISO registration. Supervisors are responsibility for all training processes, education and development of all associates using the Lean Leadership mythology.
Associate Relations
- Lead by example to foster an environment that is safe, clean and enables associates to work to their highest potential. Be accessible to associates and encourage two way interactions by promoting daily shop floor discussions. Initiate their participation by recognizing their accomplishments and efforts and respond to their suggestions and delegating responsibilities whenever possible. Interject and manage the appropriate use of disciplinary when the positive reinforcements fail. Promote, participate and communicate with associates about plant compliance with OSHA, EPA and Safety standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Solicit ideas from all associates levels within the plant. Conduct regular department team meetings to communicate plant and department performance. Lead the CI effort to identify ideas, conduct fact based analysis to ensure rapid implementation that significantly improves performance.
Safety & Environmental
- Administer and reinforce all safety and environmental policies and activities. Control activities within the plant and monitor to assure that while on company premises associates are performing constructive work related activities only.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Management or Engineering (Preferred)
Associate Degree in Business, Management or Engineering plus 2 years experience
Specific Job Requirements:
Activities such as walking, stooping, climbing, lifting, or pushing/pulling up to 40lbs 80% of the work day is required.
Repetitive movement is required such as twisting/bending, hand gripping, etc. 95% of the day in manufacturing facility is required.
Environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, loud noises, fumes, andor dust will be encountered during the work day.
Protective Equipment Protection
Equipment such as hearing protection, vision protection, and safety shoes, are required in posted areas.
This position will reports to the TRB Value Stream Manager.
