The Plant Engineer serves as the primary backup to the team and is expected to qualify as an operator to enhance the abilities and knowledge of the plant system operations and enable them to cover a shift at their qualification level from time to time. u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePRIMARY FUNCTIONSu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eManage capital improvement projects to ensure budgetary guidelines and contractual guarantees are met. The Plant Engineer cooperates with the Operations team, the Compliance Manager, and the Administrative Supervisor as needed in the daily operation of the plant.u0026nbsp; Maintains a positive relationship with NAES Corporate Engineering Support Services.u0026nbsp; The Plant Engineer will coordinate with Ou0026amp;M staffs on technical matters concerning plant operations, maintenance, and general engineering support for reliable and safe plant operation.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONSu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003ePhysical requirements include the possibility of standing on feet for extended periods of time, stair and ladder climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds.u0026nbsp; Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.).u003c/liu003enu003cliu003ePosition requires extended working hours and varied shifts, with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, work load and plant conditions.u0026nbsp; u0022On callu0022 status will periodically be required.u0026nbsp; Some travel may be involved to participate in Manager, Owner, User Group, or other offsite meetings.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAll employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program.u0026nbsp; This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.u0026nbsp; There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.u003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eJOB QUALIFICATIONSu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003eu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eWe are seeking an individual who has a passion for excellence in plant project management, HSE compliance and Ou0026amp;M programs.
