Position SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Machinist to help keep the world moving. You will use your hands and machines to build Parker products in a safe and sustainable manner. You will produce precision parts using automated equipment and accurate measurements. A great machinist needs an eye for detail. They must have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. The goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures.
Aspects of Your Work
Proficiently operate machines by loading and unloading parts in the machine
Read and interpret assembly drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
Effectively gauge and measure parts produced for quality assurance
Perform routine machine maintenance. Identify when tooling needs replaced and change tooling effectively
Work safely and bring safety issues forward
Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
Proven experience as a machinist
Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines
Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Ability to lift 35 pounds is required
