POSITION TITLE: Maintenance ManagerREPORTS TO: Director - FulfillmentBUSINESS/COMPANY/DEPARTMENT: FulfillmentLOCATION: Fulfillment Center - West ValleyResponsible for leading and developing Maintenance Team to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain distribution and facility equipment according to safety and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives as well as maintaining the building’s overall cleanliness.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment – ability to safely and efficiently use all applicable manual and power toolsLead Maintenance Team to diagnose and fix problems with the conveyor system, cardboard baler and industrial air compressorsDevelop and lead monthly, quarterly, and preventative maintenance inspections on all mechanical equipment, including, but not limited to, conveyor system, cardboard baler, and industrial air compressorsPrepare work schedules, assign work, and work hand in hand to complete job duties with other maintenance personnelWork directly with Director to facilitate safety and security initiativesRespond to and provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to facility equipmentSupport, organize, and maintain spare parts inventoryForecast building needs and act accordingly – prepare budgets, secure estimates for vendor resources, supplies, and repair parts as neededMaintain knowledge of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to fire suppression systemsEnforce safety and housekeeping practices throughout the facility – cleaning, grounds keeping, etc.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, ensure compliance with lock out/tag out proceduresSupport and track maintenance schedules and issuesOperate forklift, pallet jack, and various manual and power toolsMaintain paperwork for checking and maintaining forklift equipmentQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency or trade diploma and minimum of 6 years maintenance and/or mechanical experience or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the positionAA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus, or relevant certificationPrevious experience in a fulfillment center preferredPrevious supervisory experience preferred4 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skillsTrained in OSHA programs and practices, familiar with codes and regulations, NFPA - 70e certification preferredSKILLS / ABILITIES:Strong Troubleshoot of complex 24 volt automation systems. Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot PLC issues (programmable logic controllers) In depth knowledge of conveyor mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, masonry, groundskeeping, appliance repair, and electrical wiringKnowledgeable in all phases of construction and building maintenancePossess a valid state driver’s licenseVerbal and written comprehension of the English language requiredBasic math skills required, Computer skills, including internet and email requiredExhibit strong judgment and decision-making skillsMust be familiar with the standard safety practices and tools used in the general maintenance and repair of facility and distribution equipment and Osha StandardsAbility to interface with all types of mechanical and construction contractorsMust be able to work independently without direct supervision and organize/prioritize workload to ensure completion of all tasks within established time framesMust be able to deal with the pressure of meeting production schedulesWork varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support businessAbility to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift and move continually during working hoursAbility to work at elevated heights (30 feet) PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
