Job Summary:
Produces machined parts from a variety of material and ensures a high standard of quality is maintained by setting up and operating an assortment of machining equipment.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Effectively communicates with department supervisors
Operate assigned machines, make set-ups, compute machine speeds and feeds.
Improves part quality and production efficiency by editing and upgrading existing programs on machines as directed.
Troubleshoots and corrects problems in a timely manner. • Ensures waste is disposed of properly by using the appropriate equipment and by putting the waste in the correct receptacle.
Fills out the inspection reports (sampling inspection for CNC machines)
