Manufacturing CNC Programmer Jobs description
A CNC programmer is responsible for creating CNC programs so as to manage machine parts effectively and precisely; designing fixtures and tooling for machining parts; creating set up and tooling sheets; creating inspection reports to monitor critical dimensions; designing solid models, prototypes and assemblies; make drawings and schematics for custom tooling; and programming mills and lathes. A CNC programmer is also referred to as CNC machinist, CNC operator, CNC technician, or CNC engineer.A CNC programmer should have a degree in mechanical/production engineering. Strong background in the area of fabrication as well as in the use of CNC programming is important.
