Manufacturing Supervisor Jobs description
A supervisor in a manufacturing setting is responsible for managing a team of manufacturing professionals and their performance. More specific duties of a manufacturing supervisor include hiring, training, motivating and terminating engineering personnel; training new technicians; evaluating performance of workers and technicians in the manufacturing unit; participating in strategy formulation by providing feedback about the plant operations to the management; ensuring successful implementation of various management decisions; handling technical and administrative issues that arise; keeping updated on various technical advancements; overseeing the performance and efforts of quality control personnel; performing special tasks as directed by the manufacturing director. A manufacturing supervisor typically reports to a manufacturing director.A manufacturing supervisor has a bachelor\\\'s degree in an engineering discipline. Excellent academic credentials are necessary. Several years of experience working in a manufacturing setting is essential for a manufacturing supervisor role. Strong ability to lead and motivate people is required.
