Operator Lead/Supervisor

Profile

As a Lead Operator you are responsible for overseeing and assisting Press Operators to ensure they operate and maintain injection-molding presses or other manufacturing equipment safely. You will also ensure product is being produced per the Quality Inspection Plan to assure conformance to customer requirements are met.

While in the Operator Supervisor position, you are the first level of supervision for Press Operators and Lead Operators in the absence of the primary Operator Supervisor. You anticipate production and employee issues and resolves problems to minimize their effect on production. The Operator Supervisor also performs audits on Press Operators and Lead Operators to ensure procedures are being followed and safety guidelines are being met. You also communicate directly with the Shift Manager to ensure unproductive time remains at a minimum.

Qualifications

One year experience in manufacturing and/or assembly line or related production

Proven leadership skills

Maintain open communication with fellow employees, supervision and management and remain open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things

Prioritize and plans work activities and uses time efficiently

Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
