POSITION PROFILE
The Advanced Technology Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify Fabricated company machines and fixtures from drawing/ design stage to completion and implementation. This individual will serve as the primary resource for ensuring efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying equipment.
Responsibilities Include
Fabrication of production equipment, tools and fixtures, including special purpose machines.
Complete associated paperwork, including equipment build records, mark up any changes to drawings and/or schematics.
Actively collaborate with key members of product development to communicate issues and make recommendations.
Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
Active involvement with the implementation of LEAN and Kaizen concepts
Must be able to assemble and troubleshoot special purpose machines designed and built within the Advanced Technology Department
Must be able to work on own initiative to complete projects on a tight schedule
Required Skills
High School Degree or GED Equivalent
Trade School or other training certification
Previous experience in machining, welding and assembly of tools, fixtures, and special purpose machines.
Skilled at reading and interpret measuring and metering devices.
Required Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management.
Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Must understand automated machine controls, safety devices and basic PLC programming.
Must have working knowledge of drive systems and robotic controls and safety.
