JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Manager
should lead the activities related to quality control inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products. You must implement the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality to use the results of a performance evaluation and target improvement efforts. Provide leadership and management for the quality function and support the quality viewpoint along with Lean culture for the department at the plant level. Work in partnership with Engineering and Sales, to ensure customer demand and expectations are met. You must be able to communicate the business process of compliance to others so they can follow and conform to the established best practice. Enhance and improve the products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continual improvement techniques.
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION AT - Waterloo/Cedar Falls, IA
Essential Functions
Supervises the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by company policies.
Resolve problems where general standardization and operating procedures are not working effectively.
Works with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
Manage the quality auditing team for customer and third-party quality system audits.
Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
Assess supplier abilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired levels of implementation.
Tracking and reporting on plant key performance indicators (KPIs); identifying root cause and developing and executing corrective actions
Experience with international manufacturing (fabrication, machining, assembly, and test) REQUIRED.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related discipline required.
5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, working as the Quality Manager or Quality Leader required.
3-5 years Aerospace, Quality, and Manufacturing experience required
Technological experience in statistics and/or QC tools inspection methods.
Must be able to perform with FARO, CAD, GD&T and APQP.
Must have the ability to conduct and complete Design of Experiments.
At least 5 years of experience in ISO 9001 deployment (certification required)
At least 5 years of experience in APQP T-16949 deployment (certification prefered)
Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is required.
