A dynamic and innovative manufacturer, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will plan, direct and supervise all activities of the Accounting department, maintain the Accounting and other supporting information systems, and ensure adherence to accurate and timely submittal of all reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Actively engaged in the close process to meet close deadlines
Manage and develop the accounting team
Take charge of daily operations, including Journal Entries, reconciliations, receivable or payable issues
Play a key role in system and process design, accuracy and consistency of data entry, and serve as key contributor for standard and ad-hoc reporting requests
Regular review and analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, transactions, and balances
Coordinate quarterly audits with external auditors
Take charge of federal, state, and local tax accrual calculations and posting, and coordinate with external tax advisors to meet actual filing requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
Minimum 5 years of experience managing accounting personnel
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company management
Ability to multi-task across disciplines, including accounting and legal contacts
Excellent Excel skills required
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
