About the job
In this position, you work in close collaboration with our account managers to grow our business share in the market. With your expertise in the metal cutting area, you deliver knowledge to our customers with relevant technical product and application solutions. You set up interactions with account managers, either on site or remotely, to maximize and extend our business within specific scopes of competencies. You’re responsible for hands-on coordinating the total delivery of technical solutions and sales support, and you prepare integrated solutions for our customers by setting up interaction between technical and commercial departments, as well as relevant distributor services. You assist account managers in technical presentations and customer interactions to ensure suitable business opportunities are identified and secured for Sandvik Coromant. You also recommend products and services that fit well with clients’ business needs, and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical issues that arise during, or after an implementation.
You’re always ready to respond to more complex technical questions, and you develop and deliver training to educate employees within Sandvik, external partners, and customers on the features of a purchase. In addition, you develop test applications used for testing modules, including customer-specific components.
This role is characterized by close collaboration with our customers, and you’re mainly working in the field and travel a lot in your job. You can be based at any location in the region of Haugeland and Stavanger in Norway. Limited travel outside Norway, mainly to Gimo in Sweden, is also included in your job.
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience from working with metal cutting tools and machines, technical service or in a more sales driven technical role. You have strong skills in project management and engineering cutting tools, and you have a degree or equivalent work experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or a related field. You have proven your ability to deliver good business results in previous assignments in an Account Management or Sales Management structure. Additionally, you also have experience from managing internal and external customer relations. Naturally, you have a solid experience, knowledge and usage of CAD and CAM/CNC, and you’re able to apply the digital tools of Office 365 in your daily work. Any people management skills are considered an asset. As we’re a truly global player working on the local market, you need to communicate well in English and Danish both verbally and in writing.
