Production Artist / Engraver

The Cutting Edge, a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial product identification is searching for a bright, high-energy individual for a full-time, entry-level position in our computerized engraving department. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, producing and finishing high-quality nameplates, legend plates, and overlays. They will also have an opportunity to assist in many of our other manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, wants to be an interactive team member, and is interested in learning new methods and processes. They enjoy working in a changing/growing work environment where they can utilize their excellent math skills and eye for good design and craftsmanship.
Preferred experience includes Windows (XP / XP Pro), PC-based computer graphics or CAD, blueprint reading, and a degree in graphic arts. Experience in metal shearing,
punching, chemical etching, and metal finishing a plus. Candidates will be subject to knowledge and skill testing, background and reference checks.
Wage commensurate with experience, skills and test results, plus benefits.
