If you re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there s only one choice.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t2nd Plant Manager North Area \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tThe 2nd Plant Manager is responsible for the reliable operations of the North Area’s (Kiln and HEG) manufacturing processes, ensuring production targets are met, in a safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective manner.\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tThe primary responsibilities of this role, 2nd Plant Manager North Area, are to:\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tManage and lead technical operations to assure customer satisfaction and compliance; establish and maintain key operating parameters and operating standards to guide operations; \r\n\t\r\n\t\tManage and lead the technical activities required to support unit operations, including but not limited to process optimization, SOP development, troubleshooting, management of change, root cause failure analysis, quality assurance, and control system optimization;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tCollaborate with on-site and corporate customers to ensure the plant operations meets site, company and regulatory needs and requirements; \r\n\t\r\n\t\tMonitor and analyze plant performance and drive initiatives to continuously optimize the processes to achieve the operational objectives;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tCollaborate closely with the process technology & engineering groups to optimize the Plant Develop and implement process improvements, in collaboration with cross functional teams;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tSupport site wide initiatives to drive sustainability and compliance improvements.\r\n\t\r\n\t\tTrack and manage the manufacturing costs within budget;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tHire, coach and develop Operations Specialists to ensure the training and continuing education of employees within line responsibility;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tPartner to continuously improve operations, efficiency and training for operations personnel; accountable for training material for operations personnel;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tMaintain good relations with the employees and partner with Human Resources to maintain consistent and uniform administration of personnel policies;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe Kiln Processes include: Rotary kiln for phosphate ore beneficiation Pollution control with SO2 and Mercury scrubbing along with dewatering processes Settling ponds and water balance management Waste heat steam generation Screening and blending of calcined phosphate, coke, and silica to P4 furnaces;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe HEG Processes include very large mobile equipment: Kress Pot carriers to haul molten slag from P4 furnaces CAT front end loaders to supply Kiln processes with materials CAT haul trucks to supply Kiln processes with materials CAT dozer, grader, and excavator to maintain roads and stockpiles.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tWHO YOU ARE\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tYour success will be driven by your demonstration of our life values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar field;\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAbility to work effectively in a team environment as a leader/facilitator and team member;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tStrong leadership skills, including the ability to drive change, influence without authority, and to model the Bayer LIFE (Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility, and Efficiency) values are vital for success in this role;\r\n\t\r\n\t\t Excellent written and verbal communication skill.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\tPreferred Qualifications: \r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAbility to ensure effective compliance of environmental regulations and OSHA process safety management standard and process hazard identification, analysis, and mitigation;\r\n\t\r\n\t\tThe ability and interest to eventually take on successive leadership roles is strongly;\r\n\t\r\n\t\t10 years of industrial manufacturing experience OR Master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or similar technical field AND minimum 8 years of industrial manufacturing experience OR Doctorate degree in Chemistry, Engineering or similar technical field AND minimum 6 years of industrial manufacturing experience Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, exceptional technical skills including the ability to understand applicable process technology, unit operations, and control systems are essential;\r\n\t\r\n\t\t Experience with new plant design, construction and start-up.\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t*This role may offer domestic relocation*\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t \r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t \r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tYOUR APPLICATION\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t \r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t \r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t \r\n\t\t\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\tBayer offers a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
