The Role
The Manufacturing EU Growth Leader will provide direct strategic and operational leadership to the BrightDrop Manufacturing organization.As a key leader for manufacturing, you will find yourself in a fast-paced environment to grow markets and deliver on the BrightDrop mission.
This position will focus primarily on growth operations to expand the BrightDrop reach into EU markets.Key tasks will include but not limited to:
Engage with the BrightDrop strategy team to develop our manufacturing approach to support EU markets
Identify and create approach to support van (EV410) and EP1 (and variants) delivery to EU markets
Identify financial implication of shipping from US versus localization of production
Create strategy to support both methodologies
Identify / interview / complete due diligence for potential localized contract manufacturers
Understand tax/tariff/govt incentive implications for each mfg strategy
Identify manufacturing cost impacts for EU homologation and create strategy to support manufacturing
Collaborate with both internal BrightDrop engineering as well as Mfg Eng / Ops resources from General Motors
Support other growth markets as needed (Canada, Mx, MEO, SA, etc.)
Lead all projects / initiatives that fall outside discreet EV van/EP1 programs including special projects as needed.
Additional Job Description
Bachelors degree with Masters preferred
10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations and new product launch
International experience in manufacturing engineering or mfg planning
Familiarity in financial and growth analysis of potential mfg scenarios
High comfort with ambiguity with a positive attitude and a drive towards results
Strength in manufacturing engineering / operations and future vehicle studies
Ability to work well cross-functionality within manufacturing and across other organizations
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
